On the Podere Guardia Grande estate, we produce wines that express the character of the local area
The richness of the soil, the climate and the closeness to the sea all contribute to the distinctive character of our wines, with aromas of herbs, flowers and berries. We love wines that have a strong connection with the local area; wines that have a story to tell. Saldenya, Nascimento and L’Alghè are upfront, polished wines, with a distinct, refreshing minerality.

Saldenya
Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
In the Alghero dialect, Saldenya means Sardinia, and the sound recalls the froth atop the waves of the sea, driven daily by the Mistral wind, which settles on the grapes, giving them their unmistakable, almost salty flavour.
Saldenya 85
Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
Saldenya '85 is a limited edition Vermentino: only 634 bottles, the fruit of an ancient coastal vineyard harvested by hand—steeped in history and salt air, restored and cultivated with renewed love.
Alguasanta
Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Rosato
Alguasanta derives from the Alghero dialect term “algua santa,” which means holy water. With its evocative and almost mystical sound, this name embodies a subtle spirituality and celebrates the connection between land, culture, and soul. The mystical aspect is reinforced by the figure of the pink flamingo, a symbol of purity and transformation.
Nascimento
Cannonau di Sardegna DOC
The winemaking process is also a “birth shrouded in mystery”. When the must ferments, in the night, the children venture down into the darkness of the cellar, to listen to that song that will perhaps accompany them throughout their lifetime.
